It’s gonna be a short one today.
The time right now is 3:30. As in, PM. Post Meridian. I woke up ten minutes ago. How on earth did it come to this? Simple, really. I recorded a podcast for five hours in the early morning.
I was planning on sleeping before that. I thought I’d get to bed early and wake up at around 3:00 in the morning. This was before I realised that I’d grossly miscalculated time differences, and I needed to be awake around 1:00AM. By the time my meeting was finished and I was home, it was around 9:30PM. I was on a loser. If I went to sleep, there’s no way I’d be able to wake up. I’d operated on five hours of sleep that whole day.
Instead of sleeping, I sat on my living room floor, with the heating off and my laptop on, doing other stuff until the time came. It was freezing and uncomfortable, but that’s exactly what kept me awake. Then the podcast recording started, and I was mostly fine. I was talking with people, after all. That tends to keep the brain stimulated.
Was I expecting it to be so long? Not at all. am I glad I did it? Heck yeah. For one thing, it was fun. It was essentially a giant Game Of The Year discussion. It was a whole lot of experience. It might take a while for the whole podcast to be sorted out and posted, but when it does I’ll link to it here.
For now, I shall rest a while. And then do this assignment. And some other stuff. Gosh, I need a holiday.
